Dearest Reader,
It has come to my attention that you may be missing my presence in my photography business these last few weeks. Perhaps it’s this beautiful weather we have been having, or perhaps I have been too busy binge watching the first half of the new Bridgerton season. Lady Whistledown has really been spilling all the gossip of the “Ton”. IYKYK
We all know I’m an incredible Boston Photographer—I’ve got an eye for capturing the beauty and empowering women of all ages through my photography. But today, we’re here to dive a little deeper and learn more about the woman behind the lens. So, grab a cup of coffee (or tea, if that’s your jam) and settle in, because I’m about to take you on a whirlwind tour of my life—a delightful mix of chaos, love, faith, and the occasional misplaced homework assignment.
Let’s start with the basics: I’m a mom of three wonderfully busy kids. Yes, three. That magical number that’s just enough to keep me perpetually on my toes but not quite enough to convince me to start a minivan fan club. My days are a delightful rollercoaster of soccer practices, school projects, and impromptu dance parties in the kitchen.
Now, let’s talk about my secret weapon: my loving and supportive husband. He’s the yin to my yang, the bourbon barrel to my wine, the one who knows exactly when to bring home flowers. Seriously, if they gave out medals for patience, he’d be an Olympic gold medalist by now. His knack for turning potential meltdowns into moments of laughter is unmatched. Not to mention, he’s also the king of coaching not one but two soccer teams and is fully embracing his cheer dad era. Yes, you read that right—pom-poms and all! He’s even working on his halftime show routine. Oh, and did I mention he’s a marathon runner? Yep, he runs those insane 26.2 miles for fun. Me? I’m more of a “marathon Netflix and chill with a glass of red wine” kind of gal. Running? Not in this lifetime!
In the midst of the beautiful chaos, there’s my faith—a cornerstone that keeps me grounded and gives me strength. My love of Jesus is the compass that guides me through life’s twists and turns. It’s not just about Sunday mornings (though I do love a good sermon); it’s about having a supporting community and ALWAYS showing love to others no matter what. I want to be a shining example of God’s love for my children so see every day.
Now, confession time: I’ve been boy crazy my entire life. No shame here, ladies! And sitting pretty at the top of my celebrity crush list is none other than Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. What can I say? The man is a delightful combination of muscles, charisma, and a smile that could melt an iceberg. My husband is fully aware of this and teases me mercilessly, but hey, everyone needs a harmless celebrity crush, right?
One of my biggest passions is empowering women. There’s something incredibly powerful about lifting each other up, sharing our stories, and realizing that we’re not alone in this crazy journey called life. Whether it’s cheering on a friend as she starts her own business or simply being a shoulder to lean on, I believe in the magic that happens when women support women. I am involved with so many incredible Women’s Networking groups. (I’m also a social butterfly). I love supporting women owned businesses like Massachusetts wedding venues, florists, and wedding planners.
This ties perfectly into why I love being a Boston boudoir photographer so much. Helping women see their beauty and strength through my lens is incredibly rewarding. It’s not just about taking beautiful photos; it’s about empowering women to embrace their confidence and self-love. There’s nothing quite like witnessing the transformation that occurs when a woman sees herself in a new, empowering light.
Why do I love empowering women, you ask? Because I know firsthand how transformative it can be. When we uplift each other, we create ripples of change that can reach far beyond our immediate circles. Plus, let’s face it, there’s nothing quite like the camaraderie of knowing that someone else understands the struggle of getting kids out the door in the morning with matching shoes.
Let’s not forget some of my simpler pleasures in life: indulging in Graham Central Station ice cream (seriously, it’s a must-try), savoring a slice of vanilla cake, and winding down with a good Netflix show and a glass of red wine. Ah, the trifecta of relaxation!
Life isn’t always picture-perfect. There are days when the laundry piles up, the kids are arguing over who gets the last cookie, and my to-do list feels like it’s plotting against me. But even on the toughest days, I find solace in my faith, joy in my family, and strength in the incredible women around me.
So, here’s to the beautiful mess of life, the laughter that keeps us sane, and the love that binds us together. Here’s to strong coffee, stronger women, and the strongest bonds of faith and family.
Until next time, keep laughing, loving, and lifting each other up!
XOXO,
Steph
